    I just tried this tonight and I can confirm that the slammer Drink from BRD bar did not work, BUT hellfire still absolutely did! Very cool! Definitely +rep -- TY =)

    It actually works, yes and besides the stacking pre-buff you also get the speedbuff wich is even more interesting as letting it tick once you get tha speelbuff then run around MUCH faster - incredibly effective on ToC hardmode for switching sides on the crowding-up strategy.

    One more thing I'm gonna TEST next time we go there (which will be next week..) is to what extend mechanics such as hand of sacrifice (sharing damage with the target) trigger the stacking mechanic too. Since our retpallies (yeah we got 2!) deal pretty impressive pew pew that'll speed up the whole thing aven another tiny bit^^.. although it'll mess up our heroism timing completely if our 4 WL plus ur shadowpriest AND the retardines go 'berserk' at different times and then the main-camp goes int afterwards... not sure if that really strikes with our strategy. Let's see if we can break our record ^_^

    Gonna test tomorrow, great idea, hope it doesnt get fixed soon. We got locks gathering balls (yeah, they are called balls - more funny like that, white and black ballz ^^), while rest are zergin at the door, so such prebuff is so welcomed ^^

    Since this is supposed to work off of ANY fire damage, what about a campfire? Don't campfires do fire-based damage?

    Only usefull for the pull anyhow, since doing it while encounter is going will mean a huge dps loss

    Erm no, it doesn't? I mean, it doesn't work on hardmode at all =).

    It works on this basis, all the "light" damage is fire (fire res aura used in fact), and all the "dark" damage is shadow (shadow prot from priests is up too). If you receive any kind of shadow damage, you get a dot-buff; if you receive any kind of fire damage, you get a dot-buff.

    To be more precise, it does work on Heroic but it resets after 5 charges =P, tested Wednesday, after reset. It's all known around anyhow, no point to post it into elite or w/e.

    It does work on Hardmode. I did it yesterday, and I got up to 75 stacks (if you are on the gear level for doing hardmodes with success, chances are you're threat capped (as a Warlock, anyway) - getting too near 100 would make you steal aggro very early into the fight) without any problems or resets.

    It did reset for one of my Warlock friends, a few weeks ago. But I've been able to repeat this just fine, on all 4 versions of the instance, with no debuff resetting whatsoever.

    If you have great situational awareness, to the point you can dictate with Empowered debuff you'll get, the extra Empowered debuff (I get 3 Empowered debuffs per fight using this, while other DPS gets 2 on average) can be a make or break to kill that bad shield.

    Weird Gihelle; talking about 25m HM (where faction champions are taunt immune, for example)

    Might be my server only? pretty strange tho, after a bit of stacks (exp IF precombat) it resets. And i'm not talking about 100, nor 75, but really.. 4-5 =p.

    Even if, to reach 75, i'd have to ask my raid leader to wait for that to be up; or avoid dpsing at the very start to stack the buff (don't see that much dps increase even with good RNG in doing that during fight, expecially if you have to change colour due to heal/vortex)

    I did it on 10-man HM yesterday.

    We usually take some time to adjust strats so I can get some nice stacks up. I just don't get too near 100 because that would be retarded threat-wise. :P
