It's a shame you're still locked, but if you do a previous days one, then it changes, and you pick up the new one you'd be unlocked, then hit the 25 again to pick it up a second time to do the next day... and repeat
it'd take a fair amount of work, but could get double the badges for each day that it changes.
They will no doubt pick up on this and remove emblems etc. for doing it.

No. Nothing like that. You can choose to do the heroic of the day, or the heroic of yesterday.

No. Please, no theories.

You can do the daily, turn it in, and then get that same quest again. you're still locked out of the instance. the next day, when you do this same quest again, its not the daily for anyone else, unless they saved the previous one. haven't you ever gotten the daily, not done it that day, and done it the next? Its just like that. No you can't do the REAL daily for quest credit afterwords.
