me = never arena'd before, but im assuming that if you've faced them in combat before, your aloud to whisper them?
if so... and you had a list of ALL teams previously faced... how would you know exactly what team ur facing?
I mean, i personally wouldnt reply to a tell: "OMFG wht team are you on dawg??"

or, u could just do what u normaly do in an arena without caring much, what, are u going to leave the match casue uve faced the team before,, this might be helpful if u keep a scoreboard with ur friends or on the server with people if somebody made a mod for htis, but otherwise kidna pointless...

well you could always /y to the other team and if they reply check there names plus you might know if you are facing Horde when they reply in Orcish.

What you do, as you fight arena teams, write down their names/servers. When you get into a new arena, you try and whisper them. If you can succesfully whisper them, you are facing them =P"

you could be somewhat intelligent about all this, and check the UI Modder's Websites before coming up with a half-baked idea like this. For god's sake I dont even play WoW anymore, but I know about a few... the one I would use (updated version of the one I DID use a few weeks back) is Arena Enemy Info. Not only does it get their class, but it ALSO recalls their Talent Build, max HP/MP, and armor levels.

No matter how brilliant you think you are, if it involves writing down on paper ... you just aren't brilliant and someone else HAS ALREADY figured a better way to do the same thing. what i mean by my post was, whats the point in knowing the other team, both ways your gonna fight them so why not keep it a secret and know last second like the rest of us. thats what i find fun, wondering who and what we are facing... ok most of you might find this helpful but i think its a waste of precise ready time... and tinker foe your right this is a fun thread, wheeee.

When I saw this thread I fully expected it was someone in lust with Arena Enemy Info and was posting about the mod. Little did I know the "trick" here was a pad of paper, a really well used pen, and lightning fast uber shorthand...

But hey, writing down the names and classes and being able to plug in all the crap for whispers that way... you could have a promising career as a Clerk of Court or something...
