You can actually mount on the "tower" by porting to the Purple Parlor. You don't need to fly from Krasus.

This. Go to the room where Kirin'Tor Quartermaster is (bottom left of the map), then take the portal on the right side as you enter the room up the stairs (portal to Cavern of Time is to the left). Now from there you can mount up and follow this guide.

Go to the room where Kirin'Tor Quartermaster is then take the portal on the right side as you enter the room up the stairs and take the portal to the Purple Parlor. Now go outside onto the balcony. Mount up. Fly down on a angle above Magus Commerce. Fly infront of the well (Still inside Magus Commerce) then fly above the well. Il post screenshots.

You can also fly down into the portal a bit and be on your flying mount in the sewers, but you can only stay in the small section you cant go down to where the arena masters and shit are
