[Arena - Hunter] Exploit opponents addons

I've found an usefull exploitation of opposite team addons in Arena when you've got an hunter in your team.

If the hunter's pet is named like a member of your team, when opposite team will select this member on their Arena addon (Proximo - Gladius), there's 50% chance that they'll focus the pet instead of the teamate.

This is because these addons use the /target command and if the pet is near of a member of the opposite team, the /target command will select the nearest target whith the specified name.

So the "exploit" :
Name your pet like a member of your team

it´s also fun when your healer uses a /target *name* /*healname* macro atleast your pet wont die

Except those addons don't use /target, they use arena unit id

I'm pretty sure Blizzard made it so that you can't name your pet the same thing as you anymore a while ago, I'm trying to find the info on it.

Edit: Thought you meant after yourself, my bad.
If Blizzard sees that you named your pet after an arena team member they will take action though.

Yes I remember the talk about this during the Major League Gaming 3v3 in '08 or '07. They made a rule after the first game a Hunter did this though.

Heh, this reminds me a hunter from my guild back in MC days... he named his cat as our main tank and at shazzrah he sent the poor pet in the aoe... pok the raid warning Tank has died... few of our healers that had him in target tried to keep him alive but the rest of us stopped the dps (like a bunch of bots) preparing for a wipe )
