Netherstorm Quest -Delivering the Message

This is near the end of a chain quest in Netherstorm - gives Consortium rep and a nice green loot reward.

The recommendation is to clear the mobs before you trigger this "escort" type quest however I inadvertantly discovered a mechanism of completing this quest without combat.

I triggered the quest as normal, allowed the NPC to walk ahead expecting to aggro the mobs along the way. Well, it didn't happen - he just stood there and watched while the first mob aggroed me.

I thought, "stuff this", I will fly and wait until he aggroed the mobs and then drop down to kill them.

He walked the whole route and no mob aggroed him nor me flying above him. He set the detonation device at the final point and two ambush mobs spawned ... and then almost immediately despawned and I flagged a success for the quest.

Looking up this quest on Thottbot to provide a link, I discovered that others have similarly discovered this exploit and posted so I will not claim this as a unique discovery but for those who are yet to complete this it makes at least this stage a breeze.

I'm pretty sure this is fixed... I did this quest two days ago with a freind, but we didn't clear the way so we had to kill a lot of mobs, and some WERE attacking the NPC. But maybe I had to stay completely clear of him and don't attack anything hmm..
