Do more damage during Malygos phase 3

well, I can't speak from experience here, but if debuffs on malygos arent removed during any of the phases, I guess it would be possible to have a CoE on him from phase 1. Just kill the adds in less than 5 minutes (the less the merrier) and viola.. although it might not be enough time to have the CoE last the whole fight out.

First, on 3 phase, drakes dps start at low damage and then increase as the time passed because of the DoT stacks, so CoE at the early doesn't give much bonus as CoE that lasts later on.

Second, there's nothing to prevent you from doing both
I'm not sure that debuff will be removed during his untargetable time between phase 2 and phase 3 or not, but you can try anyway.
Put CoE on him at the end of phase 1, if it's removed before phase 3 or duration ends before phase 3 ended, you can just do this afterward.

At least before patch, you could use CoE on him right before the ground break, thus not sacrificing a Warlock.

For now I believe the best bet is, indeed, throwing CoE at the start of P2. If you kill the adds fast, it should last for the entire try.

But yeah, not an exploit. Pretty much common sense.

We've used this to get 6 minute Malygos achievement a while back, very nice indeed. Make sure the warlock you sacrifice has the Malediction talent (if you have one!).

Have you read my post? I'm not telling you to put CoE on him at the end of phase 2 while he's untargetable, I'm telling you to put CoE on him after phase 3 started by having a warlock dismount. Please don't say 'doesn't work anymore before looking at the screenshot.

Tested today, if you use it at the end of phase 1, it will be removed.
Today I did 10 man Malygos spent 4 minutes on phase 1, and put CoE on him at the end of phase. And then does phase 2 in 2.5 minutes. After I reached phase 3, no CoE on him at all, it should have 2.5 minutes left on him if it's not removed. You'll have to cast CoE on him after phase 3 started only if you want to have CoE on him.
