Stone Keeper Shards Achievements

It's not much, but I didn't find anything relevant in a quick search and I just thought I'd want to contribute a heads up.

I recently bought some BoA shoulders from the Wintergrasp vendor using my Stone Keeper Shards, but I hadn't known that the Polished Spaulders of Valor would downgrade to Mail if used on a character pre-40.

So, I paged a GM and asked for a refund on my Stone Keeper Shards since I had made an uninformed decision. The GM acknowledged my problem and promptly refunded the Stone Keeper Shards.

But the cool thing was, that when they refund your Stone Keeper Shards, they don't subtract the amount refunded to you from your Stone Keeper Shard achievements.

So, as soon as I had checked my mail and collected my shards, a achievement popped up for 500 Stone Keeper Shards collected.

Just something to keep in mind. It'd probably work on Emblems of Heroism, too.

why go to such lengts for something like an achievment ? i mean its not that you get a mount from it or a atabard.

Off Topic:
of course they are going to turn to mail pre 40 or else they would be over powered, and besides even if they didnt turn to mail your warrior/pally wouldn't be able to use it, it is like deleting your warrior/pally because at lvl 1 he cant use plate.

On Topic: well i guess it is a nice exploit if you really want achievements, but they put a limit on how many time you can refund your stuff right?

Emblems of Valor are limited at this point through IDs, so you can't earn the 1000 emblem achievement for about a half year. If you have maybe 150 emblems, buy some items, give them back. repeat. gz.

refund Items is limited, but you shouldn't worry. You can refund 5-10 times a year without any problems.

u can use 5-10 times a year, but, seems risky imo for the valor thing... at least the shards u do it once and get 300 more shards not 5 times

Could be that it doesnt work for EMblems because the achievement says LOOT. For Stone keeper's shards the achievment says OBTAIN. My guildy found this out as he got the achievement for 50 emblems while he had 56 already - the extra 6 were the ones he got from delivering dailies.
