Get weaponskill as a hunter on a training dummy!

Hey

Today, i discovered that if you're a hunter and has recently switched from, lets say guns to bows, and you're low on weaponskill, you can just fire at the Heroic Training Dummy, spamming Arcane Shot.

Because, for some reason, the only attack that seems to give weaponskill on a dummy as a hunter, is arcane shot. I'm not 100% sure why, though I'm gonna try explosive shot and aimed shot to see if they're the same.

Still, put a program that spams arcane shot and afk, and you've got full weaponskill when you come back .

I always thought the dummies were for training wep skill.What are they actually there for?

I'm pretty sure they are there to test dps. Although that is a good idea, I never thought of it... They should let you level weapon skills off of them... Would be amazing.

Yeah, an awesome net for botters. Blizz would monitor the areas like starving hawks, waiting for the unwary mouse to be his feed for that day.

Wouldn't even need botters, just autoattack >.<

That would be too easy... they would never let that happen. Weapon skill is meant to be a pain in the ass to level ;D

They should allow everyone to raise weapon skill using the training dummies...I dont know why not...not going to ruin the game or give other ppl unfair advantage

Searched for different combinations of words ("arcane hunter weapon skill", "arcane shot hunter skill", "easy hunter weaponskill") but the only thing that came up was a thread about pvping as a hunter.
