Haven't noticed such a thing, but there if i'm not wrong there was a similar prob with hunter pets so i wouldn't be suprised.

No no, i have played a rogue since Beta WoW, and vanish has never worked 100%, there is always a factor that makes it bug out.

Congratulations on ur find, if u want to feel l33t make a warlock, hunter or mage with elem. and ull find out that it works with every pet known to man in game ...

As an avid pvp rogue, I can tell you that not only do DK pets NOT ignore vanish, but if I even RESTEALTH and move away, the pet will stop chasing after a second or two.


The only possibility I can see here is that if a rogue has DoTs on you, and your pet is set to either defensive or aggressive, and it has no other possible target, when the DoT ticks it will trigger hostility from your pet and cause it to go for the Rogue.

Vanish has always been broken in one way or another. I've been standing still in town, vanished, and have it simply not work.

Pets are supposed to stay on you if they are set to attack you before you stealth. When you Vanish they're supposed to disengage. If they don't, then it's a bug (not an exploit) because its reproducibility is suspect at best.

Vanish is so ****ed up since the beginning of WoW, that i think even critters might break it now.... after the expansion the things are worse than ever with the vanish fading/not working/being targeted after vanish/stealth/ etc.... so things like that just don't seem good enough to be in exploit section.
