This item can be procced when making bandages, cooking, or doing other professions. (Not sure if it works while fishing.)

Can be useful for soloing elites or before bosses or arena battles.
Make a bandage get 512 spell power temporarily. But that's enough time for 5 frostbolts or like 3 fireballs.

This is pretty wide-known with almost every "chance to proc" trinket :P Almost every one of them can be activated this way.
