Easy Thekal Solo Kill 2.0

1. Pull Thekal with your Crashin'Trashin Bot (Winterveil 09)
2. He and one other add will evade, one add will attack you.
3. Kill the Add.
4. Pull the second add, not the Boss.
5. Thekal and the other Add will despawn, he will attack you in tigerform.
6. Profit

I just tried this...

So far my experience is more like

1) Pull Thekal with crashin' thrashin' race controller
2) The entire boss pull comes
3) Wipe and waste gold

Is this supposed to be done while standing on a tree stump?

I just pulled him with the [Crashin' Trashin' Racer Controller], it seemed to work for a second but they all charged at me which ended in a 10g repair bill.

stfu when you clearly either didn't try or just failed. I just did this, and it worked, no tiger mount for me tho ;< pics for proof:





as you see, it didn't work quiiiite like told above, I had to kill the tigers and the adds on their own, but when they died, they despawned and I could aggro and kill thekal, first in normal form, then tiger like always, just no adds

EDIT; I might have forgotten to tell that all I did was clear all the trash, then stand in the middle of the patch leading up to Thekal, but at a moderate range, not too close.

Did this today, it didn't work quite like described, I cleared the boss area, then pulled the boss pack with the robot(I assume you could do this even without), pulled them to the exit of the tiger boss area(the slope back down to the path).
When the mobs the adds and boss started to run back, I hit one of the tigers, then the boss started to run back and the fight went straight to phase 2 since the adds de-aggroed already.
I'll try to fraps this when I do it next reset.

It's possible to do this, but it may take ~5-10 pull attempts to get only the boss


ps. you can reset the boss by running straight down the water and swimming to the little island on the opposite beach. there's a log where you can get them to evade.
(might be easier places near by, but I used this one on bad pulls)

afaik thats exactly the way how you should kill thekal the regular way.
except the fact that there no tiger adds, which are in my opinion a less pain in the ass than his elite adds, which you killed.

As a prot warrior I tried this, and what I came to find was that it did work when i pulled them to the slope and got them to evade. Now what was not to good about it was I needed to clear the whole room and that became more of a problem than the fight itself. Seemed it is actually easier as a prot warrior to just pull the boss normally and bash the heals and just do the whole fight solo.
