Various Methods of Gender Change

One method I've seen posted here before (but not on this particular forum) to change your character's gender is to use the Arcanite Ripper as a female character and then, while transformed, pop a deviate, a pumpkin treat, orb of deception, etc. This will change your character from female to male.

However, one method that works fairly well for swapping genders both ways works as follows:

- Use the Ultrasafe Transporter trinket for Area 52 or Toshley station.

- There are two possible malfunctions you want to look for. One is a malfunction debuff that transforms you into an Alliance race. Another transforms you into a random Horde race.

- As noted before, you can swap between these races by zoning or changing stances as a warrior. Changing forms as a druid should work as well. (Because this is a debuff, changing forms shouldn't cancel the effect.)

- Some of the random transformations have reversed genders. The Orc, Blood Elf, Gnome and Draenei transformations are always female for me. Troll, Tauren, Dwarf and Night Elf are male.

- You can pop a costume or a potion effect and retain whatever gender you had under the engineering debuff. This includes the pirate day costume buff, wands, halloween candy, orb of deception, orb of sin'dorei.

- Note that relogging or zoning reapplies buffs and may break the effect. (Although sometimes it doesn't.) I did note that for some reason, I remained female when I logged in and out and zoned with the pirate day buff.

- Now, what may be interesting is that you can, say, pop Orb of Deception with five seconds left on the malfunction debuff and you will remain your altered gender for the full five minute duration of the Orb of Deception.

- Using the 12 hour costume buff in Booty bay, you can remain opposite gender for 12 full hours.

- I SUSPECT there may be ways to make this a permanent change. This may involve remaining changed while the server is backing up or during a server crash. I have also not tested this with the Caverns of Time debuff since none of the races I play at high end get transformed there but there may be a way to take advantage of the costume buff in there being unlimited duration.

It is if we follow these guide lines and get lucky with a server crash and it becomes perm i know i have a pally i wouldn't mind a perm change on.

The Durnholde Human Form was once possible to take out of the instance, but it was fixed on a later patch.

The druid changing forms bit doesnt work im sure, as when you change forms the debuff goes... atleast it does for shamans who go ghost wolf.

ya be carefull ghostwolf kills it and if your lucky enough to have a little mojo Mojo - Item - World of Warcraft kissing it will change wich of those debuff forms you take when it returns you to non frog

This is cool. Don't think it should be on the exploit, maybe though, I'm not sure... maybe guides... however, I never knew any of these, and as it is not a repost as far as my search is concerned, you get a nice little cookie from moi
