    Sorry, but he's wrong, you don't understand the mechanic at work here.

    I'm on the beta, Mammoths and Motorcycles have their own health bars because they are considered Vehicles (Vehicles are a combination of Pets and mounts put together) So you see the vehicles health as a pet and your health as you.

    when you drop from any height the vehicle of choice will take full damage of the fall and you'll take none, once it it destroyed it will just dismount you and you can remount. Amazingly fun for taking looong drops.

    Yes, their Vehicle mechanic is a combination of having a pet and being on a mount.. if only we could ride our pets as a hunter.. that would be EPIC!
