You may have had the idea on your own, but he was the one who suggested it, then you were the one who did it - seemingly (I can't see PMs) without asking or whatever. I have nothing wrong with that.

What I have a problem with is when you claim this is the most difficult thing ever to maintain and blah blah blah.
