Doing Chess Event in Fresh Instance

So, Hypotheticaly if my guild does finish the opera event and stops for the night( since we cant kill curator and noone but me in guild knows this exploit) i could stealth from where my guild completed opera to the chess event and solo ir for lewts? (btw im a rogue)

u wrote this on 22nd of may @ 1.00

this means it was BEFORE the patch... i did it before the path on a live real 2 and IT WORKED!!

i`m still working on it, and getting round the mob with stealthdetection...

seems it was changed last wednesday or tuesday night. I did it right after last weeks maintenance, may 8th. Seems everyone started reporting the peices not showing up may 9th. Checked in again today, no peices there.

i can get passed the stealth detecting mobs but cant get over the last wall before the pat comes. =( anyone got teleport hack co-ords?
the stealth mobs are easy to get passed if you distract them at the right time. even so it will only work like once in every 5 attempts.
then you gota do that last wall jump in the space of about 5-7 seconds before the pat gets back.

they made it really hard, but its not impossible.

Ummm....well i can get all the way to the mob right before the prince....he can see a sub specd rogue while he is dictraced and with the vanish buff on me.....so solo=impossible IMO, only onther way....find another rogue or a drood and RLH into the room, try to make it to the other side and have the drood stealth and walk to the other side out of the room, then have the drood res.....or something.....but the stealth seeing mobs....are wicked gay si GL if somone tries that post vid/screenies

Ok well after much frustration....im at the chess event...all pieces accounted for and good, but i can only play the alliance's king....and i have died 5 times already....especialy since medivh cheats....if anyone has any strats...since i can only play the king, i would apreciate them

only thing is that

1. Your guild has to complete opera event with you there when they do it
2. Probably not a good thing to do if your guild plans on doing chess event
3. Must have lots of patience

Yes it is still possible. However, the requirement for it is that Opera Event has been done. When my guild failed on Curator (thank Earth for the respawn nerf) I snuck into the chess room with my rogue late at night before patchday and did the Chess with my rogue.
Medivh killed himself when he put fire on a square the horde king moved to. O.o

Anyway, the necklace and paladin healer pants dropped. So I abandoned the loot, logged over to my paladin and then went there with the help of two invisibility potions and the engineering rocket boots from Steamvaults.

Point of the story: Still doable as any character, but you must have done Opera Event first.

So to th answer of my question, noone have i assume?

I know you can do it with Opera done, but my question was if someone found a way around the hotfix, so you could STILL do it in a fresh instance.

Just done on my hunter. I missed the final jump into the ballroom the first time but other than that the run is easy. Invisibility pots (lesser and regular are on seperate cooldowns, remember) and swiftness potions used. The stealth-detecting mob was overcome by leaving my pet just inside Prince's room and misdirecting the mob onto it, then running past and feigning death at the steps down.

Chess took me seven tries, although the first few were just blatant screw-ups and quickly over. What I did to win was move the two Footmen in front of King Llane and the Human Conjurer forward one space each at the start, then took control of the Conjurer and commenced nuking (Warlock and Acolyte whilst AoEing as many other pieces as I could). Whenever Medivh Cheats (the fire pits), I moved Conjurer and King back and forth out of the flames (using the space made by the two Footmen). My Conjurer died late in the game, but most of the horde pieces were dead, so I took over the King and pounded Warchief Blackhand into the ground.

I done this 6 times now as a hunter, got my Fiend Slayer's Boots and it was an awesome experience. I won't be doing this exploit anymore because our guild just downed Prince for the first time (1-6-'07) so I will complete chess with my guild.
Oh, and I used no potion at all, just put MD on my pet, run past the mob and feign death., ress pet and repeat for all mobs Very nice exploit!

did this with mage the way rogue did it but guild done opera event :> and stopped for the day (got kz on farm) so use invisibility and invisibility pot and that fiend didnt aggro
