Note that this doesn't always work, due to server latency. If you lag when you sign out, you might get the deserter debuff anyway. However, this has worked for me almost every time I've used it.

For those who still got the Deserter Buff using the macro...
Try adding like 0.5sec more to the script.
20.05 didn't work for me, although 20.10 worked ^ ^
So make it like this (Or try to find the right number for your latency):

/logout
/in 20.10 /script LeaveBattlefield()

Ok so i experimented and it seems if your ms is yellow or above 300, 20.05 needs to be mage to 20.10. If its over 900 (you have some problems) but you probably need 20.15 this works believe me very nice
