Get rogues out of vanish [Mage version]

I've been a rogue for a while, played to 1.9k with frostmage and 2k with dualrogue anyway a trick most mages use at high rating is the counterspell bug.

What you do as mage is; When you see rogues vanish animation (2 arms going up kinda thing) You immediatly CS this breaks the vanish and rogue can be wtfbbqownedlolz.

This is confirmed by me. Feel free to test and post here if it works too.

erm ,doesnt it work with ALL spells? f.ex u can use ice lance and get same effect? Quite common sense imho.

Vanish usually absorbs this, if you played rogue long enough you should know this. Sometimes you take the dmg but still vanish sometimes nothing happens.

That is only if Vanish fails, THIS is actually a bug with counterspell it has a 100% succes rate unless you are too late.
Ice lance or other spell only breaks vanish if vanish fails (Vanish fails alot tho)
Cant give you a percentage though.

I likej Psychic screaming them just as they vanish on my priest. They brake right out of stealth and go running off. It's amusing to see in BG's and a lot of times you can predict when they are going to do it.

Psychic scream is an AoE, has nothing to do with that will always work.

Rather just go with the icelance or in worst case a hotkey for rank1 blizzard.

Counterspell is also off the GCD, so that also adds to the potency of CSing a vanish
