This should in theory work.

Even if the GM catches u out & says "Uhh the item is still in your buybacvk tab" you could play dumb.

Oh and btw, a GM will only ask you to relog when the item you are question is in your bag/bank.

Reason being is that they delete the item but you must relog fo rthe cache to update.

Normally the GM makes the change then asks you to relog to update it. But when an item is mailed to you, you do NOT need to relog (it does not however "ding" that you have new mail, just check your mailbox)

So in short, to return an item:

A deleted item: Does not require a relog
A sold item: Does not require a relog
A swapped item (ie t6 boomkin helm for a t6 tank helm): Requires a relog.
