ok, this happend 2 my guild leader one time pre-TBC, she said that she had something restored and that when she loged in she was a from what i no she could only use Maintenance gm commands i have pictures of it ill try and find them and post.

u obviously didnt see the screenshot where he had the gm tag in chat i targeted him he was in my party right in front of me on mini map YET YOU COULD NOT SEE HIM and he didnt even have any buffs dont make the dumbest post of all just cuz you never seen it happen

this happened to me too... but this was when TBC didnt come out yet... i tested out some stuff and created a trial account to see if i can become a GM with a trial... and it worked! but that was in the old patch and now its fixed ;[ lol... it was fun... i could use cool commands.. i found one out and it was /user and u got to see every user online (horde and alliance) in the area u were... that was keeewl and fun! lol

If they really log on to your character and temporarily change you to a GM, then with a friend, couldn't you make sure they were online and interrupt them by logging in? they would get DCed and you would have your GMed char

This has been fixed. I just did this yesterday and the GM didn't log into my account. Instead he asked me to go to a uncrowded place and he TP'ed to me and asked me to manually delete follow-up Quest and the first ring. Then he resetted the chain without logging into mine as I said.

To bad, would be nice to get the mark

Guaranteed this isn't fake... friend i know has a close friend who works for blizzard as a gm.. i can confirm the auto invisible thing. not just anyone would know that. But he had GM status.. he wasn't really a GM, as the player stated. GM's can't just interact with other players. They can basically do what ever a GM on an emulated server can do. Take my word on that.
