Rogue Stealth Bug, It's Real Lets Figure It out

People who are claiming that this is a sham or is not real, it is real. The fact of the matter is this, i don't believe it is something that Blizzard can very easily fix, if not this would have been done a while ago. I have a high lvl rogue and have been the victim of this trick many a times.... since the beginning of S3, many have complained and no fix yet. Btw, in one of the posts it does say that the macro has to do with something like the ceiling lvl of certain BGs... and that the arena one is too low for the macros to be effective.

I think the add-on is called "Personal Sentry"
that and a few others, the add-ons that (using the 2.4 combat log) can tell you when there are players nearby targeting you.

EDIT:
Okay guys, here's the deal, Sheesh posted an easy macro for breaking the stealth of a player you can see.
Combine that with Personal Sentry / or simply maxing out the report-range of your combat log, and if any hostile stealth class targets you, you will be able to target them back by spamming that macro...

Alrighty guys, i have been the victim of this bug for a few days now, and it is a real one. There is a bug which allows you to target stealthed players from any distance in arena, it apparently is an ingame mechanic and is proven by this thread.


I am putting this out to there help but also to figure out how to use this myself.... always finding the resto druid would make me win every game. Hope somebody out there is willing to share

Huh? This makes little to no sense at all.... btw, i have tried to contact the person who posted on the WoW forums and his accoutn is currently frozen, none of his arena partners seem to know about this exploit though, but that is his pve toon they told me soooo...

Alright.
First make theese three marcos:
/console CameraBobbing 1
/console CameraBobbingFrequency 0.01
/console CameraBobbingSmoothSpeed 0.0028
/console CameraBobbingLRAmplitude 0
/console CameraBobbingUDAmplitude 10000

Macro 2 (this will change horizontal value of camera)
/console CameraBobbing 1
/console CameraBobbingFrequency 0.01
/console CameraBobbingSmoothSpeed 0.0028
/console CameraBobbingLRAmplitude 9000
/console CameraBobbingUDAmplitude 3000

Macro 3 (this will reset camera to normal)
/console cameraBobbingSmoothSpeed 50
/console cameraBobbingLRAmplitude 0
/console cameraBobbingUDAmplitude 0


Now join any BG, such as Warsong gulch.

When inside, activate headbobing.
Zoom in into First person mode.
Now click eighter Macro 1 or Macro 2 and run forward while pressing them.

The camera will now go through everything! Including mountains, walls, and even invisible walls.
This makes it possible to "see" the other team's players and could also be useful in AB to report where their team is heading.

it works you just need to zoom in to first person mode and walk forward, btw i thought someone say they would like to see resto druids this way then it hit me that they ment stealthed resto druids in cat form, but u can use this to see anyone in an area not stealthed

Let me clarify exactly what i am stating for those who may not understand. At this moment there is a means to making a macro which allows you to target stealthed targets.... and i mean from a distance not once you can actually physically target them. It is being used by some arena players to get an unfair advantage, and that is what this site is all about, so i thought i would share. Boberty i believer your method might be outdated i just attempted it again and it does not move foward... and if it does... you go with it lol. I have downloaded personal sentry and am planning to do some tests via duels and such to see if it really works at loading that there is a stealthed target targeting you, if so this would work nicely, just make a macro with the target's name (using the mods method) and spam an instant and you should catch them somehow.

I realize this is probably impossible but what if u can somehow access the hunter track hidden and use that as a replacment for track mine nods or something, just an idea, probably too hard or not gonna work.

Or maybe do u think /target rouge will work? probably the dumbest thing i've thought of...

The whole point is that there is currently a macro that lets you see stealthed people, and that's the macro we all are hungering after. It's not the guy on his mount that you can see that you worry about. It's his friend that you cannot see.
