Help with editing talent points per level 1.12.1 Mangos

Sorry if this has been answered, I've searched the forum for the last day or so and couldn't find anything that applied to my situation. I'm very new to all of this and have thus far only made tiny changes to my own private 1.12.1 server using mangos. I can't find anywhere to edit the number of talent points per level, I want to change it to 2. I've seen a few references to a line in mangosd.conf that determines the talent points per level but the line doesn't exist in my mangosd.conf file. I downloaded an sql editor and have looked through the databases there but haven't found what I'm looking for. As I said, I'm an absolute noob at this and am not really sure where to look. Any help would be greatly appreciated and sorry in advance for coming here to leech from the community.

Edit: While I'm at it is there an easy way to have it increase your max defense by 6 or 7 per level instead of 5? Thought I'd throw it out there in case it's a simple change. Thanks again
