    HeidiSql problem.

    Hey i had made a wow private server, and i figured i would like some custom npc's in it.

    I went online to see how you did, and i found the program "HeidiSql"

    So what i did was i vent to Wow-v.com to make a npc.

    Then i opened HeidiSql.

    And i was stuck, i had no idea of what to do with this.

    I tried to google how to get started with "HeidiSql" but i did not find anything there could help me. So are there anyone who could explain how to get started with this program?

    Generally i have problems with HeidiSql since i can't get to login i get "Sql Error 1045, Access denied for user 'Root'@'localhost' (Using password YES) with Port 3306.

    I have the server started up. I run Heidisql as admin.

    I tried to deactivate firewall, still the same problem.

    The server is on the same computer so i use 127.0.0.1.

    Network type "MySQL (TCP/IP)

    It's simply saying your password or username is wrong.

    Ok i managed to fix the password problem, with Mysql.

    But when i set that up i was not able to launch the server i got the same message again (This time in the "arcemu-world" and "arcemu-logonserver")

    I used the port 3306 for it (The same as i use for my server)

    But on this link "http://www.arcemu.org/wiki/Database_setup" it says that i should create 3 databases, for it to work.

    So how do i create them or were do i get them?

    You want to create three databases, and honestly, HeidiSQL is a more 'intermediate' program for beginners, perhaps try Navicat, it's much more straight forward.

    Also, Edit: Please post your configs in codeboxes, and I can assist you.

    Code:
    <LogonDatabase Hostname = "localhost"
                   Username = "root"
                   Password = "root"
                   Name     = "characters"
                   Port     = "3306"
                   Type     = "1">
    Ok i have downloaded Navicat, there i did not have to imput anything and it seemed to have found the archemu server.

    I have a function there is called "Create New database" shall i just use that and create those three?

    Yes, use "Create New Database" for all three. If you look around on this forum, you will find some more user/noob friendly guides on how to start up a server than the ArcEmu wiki.

    http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...-npc-pics.html ([GUIDE] <<How to make a Custom NPC>> [WITH PICS])

    I tried that guide but the NPC's i got from it is slightly bugged.

    I tried this guide, by using wow-v (instead of manually add them) How to add an NPC to your World of Warcraft Private Server - YouTube

    I made it a vendor but it did not show up as a vendor.

    The result is in the following video.

    The first 2 are manually added.
    The last one is added with the second tenique.
