And another question about quests

I've been trying this thing so that when someone accepts a quest, he can see it on the map. Now I tryed it in the 'quests' table in the DB, went down to 'PointMapId, PointX, PointY and pointOpt', but it doesn't show it. Am I doing something wrong? Or how can I make it so that people can see where it is when they open the map and have the quest in their log?

You are interested in the following two tables:

Quest poi - ArcEmu-Wiki
Quest poi points - ArcEmu-Wiki

I attempted to document it by writing to the wiki but I was not very clear about it. It was 100% undocumented when I had to try and learn this.

Quest_POI is the header tables.
Quest_POI_Points is the table containing child information.

So you start by filling in the header.

unk4 = what table of POI. 3 = a single point, 1 = area. I have no idea what other values stand for.

If you put 3 then the child table will only have 1 row for that objective. If you put 1, then you will have to put in multiple rows for the same objective.



It is hard to explain. Ask if you have any questions, and just try it out.

If it does not work, it is most likely you got the objIndex column wrong in the table header.

I linked the two database tables where you fill that information in. The two tables are in your world database. quest_poi and quest_poi_points

You don't need any Lua.

Just try it out.
