How to make an NPC walk and talk once you get close

Hey, i was just wondering, how do i make npc's walk and talk once a player gets close? and if you can, how?

    My scenario is like this:

i walk to an npc and the npc starts to talk, telling me to go over somewhere, moving out of the way so i can pass.

    how can i do this?

    thanks in advance.

When you go to compile ArcEmu, you have the choice of compiling LuaBridge of LuaEngine. LuaBridge compiles by default, and is the new Lua engine.

However, the way you go about doing things are completely different depending on whether you use LuaHypArc (The LuaEngine project) or LuaBridge.
