ADB file question

Hello,

On some cataclysm private servers, I see they have overcome the custom item problems by having a launcher install the ADB item files in the cache folder.

How do I create/edit these ADB files? I can't find any method or program..

The most easiest way would be to replace the ready item in database with your custom item, that would fix the custom item problem and your players wouldn't need to download any files.

Thank you for the suggestion, and I know I could do that. However I'm curious of how the ADB method is done, as I don't see any editors

Well the files at ADB directory are just 1kb big so I don't think that it's related to them. Probably WDB?
