Can still log into retail?

Ok so I have a problem, I changed my realmlist and everything but I cant connect to my server with the account I made, but when I try to use my retail account I can log in does anyone know why this happens and how I can log into my server?

you may not be registered properly, or the realmlist is wrong

You can log in to your server on your retail account? or can you only log into retail servers?

Your client version must match your server version. Its not backwards compatible.

yes I can log into retail account and play on the realm and both my server and retail are 4.0.6

some servers require emails to confirm accounts then other things such as you then apply shortly after, it cna also take up to 48 hours after registration
