    Unuseual character damage (Bug?)

    Hey,

    On the repack im using (Don't flame me about using one please) low level characters are doing damage that is way beyond what they should be doing.

    EX:

    Level 1 Dwarf Warrior, Normal starting damage is 1-6
    Level 1 Dwarf Warrior, (My Server) Normal starting damage is 1-6, but the character is hitting 40-58's

    I have checked the starting stats, the equipped items, checked for buffs, but nothing is out of the ordinary.
    I'm starting to think this may be either a bug in ArcEmu or a bug in the repack im using. Either way I'm in need of a fix for this problem.
    Any answers or solutions are appreciated.

    I am running:
    KingEmme´s Repack 3.3.5
    WhyDB
    ArcEmu

    O_o i remember in vanilla when my warrior was hitting 40-58 on level 2 first day of WoW Release in EU, No class hits 1-6 with melee attacks what i know of!

    hm.. check the stats . is they standart? ore your dwarf 1 lvl got 50 strengh and etc?
    if not so thats a pre-compile issue. you must edit player.cpp for stats scaling. anyway if you useing not your own repack there is no way.
    Yes , I sit right now in front of the monitor in a cap with ear-flaps with a balalaika, a nested doll, vodka and a comrad Lenin. And behind my window dancing bears with jingles in hands .

    I have checked the stats (Not with an exact lv1 on the Real game) and most of them are in the low to mid 20's, I'm not 100% sure but im pretty sure that 20 str/20ap won't give the level 1 the ability to hit over 30's.

    BTW Thanks for the replies!

    @Nartan-----The 1 to 6 was a made up example, since I haven't played a low level char in a few months on retail.
    @AlienCCL-----I'm going to do a thorough check by comparing them to the stat's of an actual lv 1 dwarf warrior. I will edit this post with any answers I find.


    Edit: I have gone through and checked every possible stat, they are 100% the same as live servers..But the damage without a weapon is 33-34! With a weapon that has 3-5 damage on it is equipped his damage go's up to 51-54.

    I've assumed the worst (That the repack im using is bugged in some way.) So I'm going to go attempt to compile my own repack with a diff core then transfer over my DB.

    Its the core, its stats scaling that is messed up, if you're going to "compile your own repack with a diff core" then it wouldn't be a repack, it'd just be a compile, and with a different core you wont be able to use the same database, just because one repack is messed up, doesn't mean the core is.

    Thanks for all the help. It actually was the core that was bugging out the damage & stats.
    I tried my hand at compiling for a few hours but it didn't work, so I searched around and manage to find a freshly compiled un-edited arcemu repack to use.

    Because it doesn't create errors, many people don't look through the source code to realise these errors and just compile.

    i understand but when core releasing . example is arcemu. why there is no bugs such this one when you just download SVN and compile it..

    It could've been a bug in the specific revision which the repack were compiled with; but the error fixed in a later revision.

    I'd even dare to say "nothing is random" during compilation phases; even if I don't know in detail how the process is done. As the computer doesn't do anything you don't tell it to. "/
