Is it possible to get in trouble with the authorities, police, whatever for scamming WoW accounts? Somehow the scammer got the info of my friend and said they are reporting him to the police. The kids mom even called him saying they were reporting him.
This got me scared, even though I'm not as dumb as him and haven't exactly been caught yet, I have scammed a lot of WoW accounts. So what kind of trouble can you get in if any?
LAUS DEO SEMPER
Virtual Objects = No
Real objects (eg money) = Yes
Yes in Netherlands i think, 2 kids went to court for stealing some younger kids runescape items.
We're in the US. But he said he was gonna pay the guy like $500 then linked it to battle.net and transferred and banned. Now he's scared as hell. Does that count as the real money thing?
What I do is scam accounts and trade them for gold on my server. I'm guessing that doesn't count.
Well, if you sold the accounts for money from scamming like that, yes. But if you just took it, not in to REAL REAL trouble. how did he get his phone number? that would be scary as hell
So they were calling him about him not giving the kid his money. I told him to tell them that selling accounts was against the contract you have with Blizzard and if they talked with the police they would get in more trouble than him. He says that seems to have worked
The way I see it, anything with Paypal or anything like it, could become real serious problems.
Rep those that deserve it!
Imo if you use good proxy's and fake info you are perfectly safe,
Never do anything with your paypal wich is registered under your REAL name and stuffs.
Just do it for saftey everytime you scam and your perfectly safe :P
