Preview NPC?

ve seen these on a lot of server. Theyre vendors that usually have donation or vote items in them, but you cant buy them because they are just used as a preview to see the items in-game. How do I make one of my vendors do this?

Make the duration of the item 1 second (in the items table) so that if you buy the item it will disapear again after a second. Then you can make a copy of that item and set the duration to 0 (forever) and you can use one item for vendor and other for the real deal.

I could do that, but im probably going to set the extended cost to a unused entry, that way noone will have the extended cost to buy it.

Stoneharrys idea is better, people can hack to make fake items (im almost positive of this) and if not, they will figure out. Itd be free donation gear in a sense.

or make a copy of every single item u want to preview and make the copies require lvl 100 or so atleast above ur servers maximum lvl that way ppl can get the items but theres no way to use them

Or make the item cost something ridiculous...like...martin thunder
