How to update a repack - mangos

So no matter what I do making my own repack never seems to work. So ive been using the SSSSW of http://www.mmowned.com/forums/mangos...3-flavors.html and its been working and ive been editing. But how can I update it so I don't loose all the work ive done. Also can I update it myself? I have C++ and whatnot. Can anyone point me to a good guide?

I suppose wait for the update or compile yourself and update all the time like I do

Can you point me towards a repack that currently works. All the ones Ive tried dont work. I follow them step by step.
