    Private Server Custom Launcher Removal

Hey MMOwned, I went on a private server, wowlegendary one evening, it was the day 3.3 came out and i was going to download it overnight. Anyways, i felt a bit lazy and decided to download their custom launcher instead of manually changing my realmlist.wtf .... now i cant
    1. connect to any other private server
    2. connect to retail wow/get updates through the wow client.

I just finished reinstalling WoW and it seems to have the same problem. Any ideas? Please no, "Your screwed".

    For Windows XP - C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Data\enXX\realmlist.wtf
    For Windows Vista - C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\Data\enXX\realmlist.wtf

Open that with notepad and change it to what you want.
    Offical Realmlist is;

    Code:
    set realmlist eu.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
    set patchlist eu.version.worldofwarcraft.com
    set realmlistbn ""
    set portal eu
Im in the EU so just change them to US if you are in the US.

This should solve patching problems and getting onto other servers ect

Oh yeh and to prevent this for happening again. Dont install custom Launcher's , so to stop your current problem get rid of it and stop being lazy lol

Hey sorry its been a while.. I basically just gave up and now im about to reinstall my OS so I can play WoW again and I figured I would try getting a fix before that.... I have already re-installed and changed my realmlist back.

I did a couple tests and with the help of the command prompt I found that even when I type

    "Ping us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com"
Instead of pinging a server owned by blizzard, it pinged the private server... What do?

If you reformatted your computer to a new OS, you shouldn't be getting this problem, more so if you reinstall WoW. Check your realmlist and make sure it's "set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com".
