    Repack Problems with WAMP

I'm a noob. But I'm smart and have read everything I can find--I'm on day 4 of trying to make a public server for myself and a couple of friends. I'm using Athena V.3 repack and I am successful as long as I only play on local (127.0.0.1). I installed WAMP but get several errors when trying to tie WAMP to the Athena repack. When I set up a connection to the db in WAMP by establishing a new db connection, it sends an error that says it doesn't recognize the db "logon". Then when I run PHP admin it kicks me out and I lose access to PHP admin. Is there an overall tutorial that covers coordination between repacks that already include Apache/SQL? Or do I need to break down and set it up myself. I've read every tutorial I can find and am clearly missing something. I appreciate any help at all--blenz

This is becasue the database is already being run through your repack.

WAMP attempts to use a seperate instance of MySQL then you are running.

There is a few repacks that contain the website for the WoW server. Take a look around

They key is to use a repack that has it already.

If they have Apache it will come with a account site.

The key is to not use repacks... but compile self core and use db...Then your site will work

For starting that isn't a easy option 92.

If he is just starting and wants a easy server just for a few friends, then there is no harm in using a repack.

If you are intent on using a repack, then you do not need to use WAMP; they usually have integrated MySQL And/or Apache already.
