website issues [Xampp]

ive installed Xampp, put all my website stuff in the htdocs file and fowarded all my ports... when people try to load my site they get nothing any help would be great.. i have my own Domain set to my IP and all

may be a problem with my system32/drivers hosts file but im unsure

well i have tried xampp and also tried wamp
i seem to have a problem with both when i use wamp when i click put online i seem to get an error.
i think i no the reason why i get errors with both xamp and wamp but i dont no how to fix.
i have appache in my server folder and also htdocs setup
when i look in task manager services apache2.2 is set as a service however
i cant start the service
is there anyway i can remove it as a service to make wamp and xampp work
because when i right click it the remove service is grey

Could be a firewall issue, try disabling your anitvirus/firewall and try again.
