Serious trouble here! [Apache related]

Hey everyone! I'm quite troubled here.

- I ran a private server about a year ago without trouble. So, I wanted to start one again. I like developing my own world, and I'm not just one of those joking guys who spend GM/Admin status on own entertainment. So I missed that. Wanted to launch a new server.. And I'm screwed.

First of all, the whole world of private servers has changed since back when I started. Everythings different. Just to say - Something like ArcEmu. Should be a new version of Ascent or whatever.. Anyways, not what I wanted to ask about..

Couldn't get any repacks, nor own compilations to work. So I installed WAMP5 (which used to be my problem back then). Did everything as I had done back then. But Apache won't effin' start. Not from a repack either. Nothin's frickin starting. And I don't have skype or anything installed. All ports should be forwarded properly (or do I HAVE to have a static IP? And if that is the case, would anyone mind sending a guide how to set it up, as i forgot the link).

This also means that MySQL is unable to run, so I have no running database either. Basically, I'm still on step one, because of that god damn s**t.

I just get the regular "Application has been closed" warning (excuse the language) -


- Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I'd advise uninstalling wamp, apache, and mysql.

Then reinstall mysql THEN wamp.

I'm able to run my website without apache installed seperatly.

also, have you tryed just restarting your computer? You might have 2 apaches running.
