    Realmlist Loop (Mangos 1.12.1)

    I've done everything that I can think of to try and fix this realm list loop problem, but it's still looping for me.

    I have a computer that I control remotely that I run the server on, so in order to play on it anywhere I want, I had to make the server public with a DNS. I've looked around for guides on how to make it public, but I'm still having problems. Here are my configs:

    Mangosd

    Code:
    # MaNGOS Configuration file
    ConfVersion=2006082301

    # RealmID must match the realmlist
    RealmID = 1

    # 0 NORMAL 1 PVP 4 NORMAL 6 RP 8 RPPVP
    GameType = 1

    # Data directory setting.
    # Important: DataDir needs to be quoted, as it is a string which may
    # contain space characters.
    DataDir = "."

    # Named pipes: mySQL required adding "enable-named-pipe" to [mysqld] section my.ini
    #          .;/path/to/unix_socket;username;password;database - use Unix sockets at Unix/Linux
    # Unix sockets: experimental, not tested

    For privacy, I have censored the DNS with "XXXXX".

    Additional notes:

    • Ports 3306/3724/8085 are correctly forwarded (double checked with Open Port Check Tool)
    • Hosts file is modified with the DNS and 127.0.0.1
    • Realmd database IP is set at the DNS (XXXXX.game-server.cc)

    Everything runs fine minus the realmlist loop problem.

    Any suggestions or tips will greatly be appreciated, and I'd be more than happy to hit that +Rep button if the suggestion works.

    try this:

    in mangosd.conf set your logindatabase- and worlddatabaseinfo to local:

    Code:
    LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;pass;realmd"
    WorldDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;pass;mangos"

    in realmd.conf set your realmlist to local:

    Code:
    LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;pass;realmd"

    set your external ip or dnsname in your realmlist in your realm database
    you can do this with an sql editor like Navicat

    good luck
