    [Question] Original Alpha server possible?

Hello mmowned community, I know I'm just a leecher, but I want to get my rep up and try to get out of this status, but anyway I was wondering if it would be possible to set up a private server for the original WoW alpha, with mobs and everything? Now I don't just mean a localhost connect, I mean like a full blown private server and everything. This can't be too hard can it, or is it not even possible?

well, I have a copy of the client on my comp atm, in fact, I just got off it like 5 minutes ago btw man I even have a copy of the old abyss2 server, just like back in the original alpha days by the way guys if you want to download it, just go to http://www.mmowned.com/forums/bots-p...ox-server.html and download the client, and the server for a localhost connect. also wouldnt making the core be just like you would do it manually for any new patch?

No, you really can't get a decent emulator for the alpha because we simply don't have the information needed to get it working properly. There were a few packet logs that were used to build Abyss, and you can disassemble the alpha client for some more information, but it's still not enough to get it on par with servers like we have today.
