Cannot Enchant Custom Items.

When I try to enchant a custom piece of gear I made like for example a piece of my Season 5 set (I'm running a 2.4.3 server). It says "That item is not a valid target". Is there some way to fix this? I can go into the character items table and add the enchant to that item manually but that wouldn't be suffient for my server to be honest.

Edit: Also does anybody know how to fix the "?" (Question Mark) icon bug on custom items, without the use of a addon. I know you can since GastricPenguins Enchanting items have working icons. Yet when I use the same SQL and just change the spell for the enchant and the name of the item I still get a ? icon and it requires reagents.

Make sure your item level (not required level to wear) on your item is higher than the enchant required level.

The ? question mark bugged can be fixed by installing a client addon. I'm not sure about the not being able to enchant issue. Have you tried deleting a non-custom item yet, and using its entry id for a custom item? Might work, not sure though.

I believe it's something with the item flags. Something you have to change in the DBC but I can't remember what it is. I was talking to the Admin of my server about it and that's what he said. I'll see if I can figure out how to do it and get back to you.

What I get from this is that you would have to make a custom item with an entry ID of lower than that of the very last NON CUSTOM item in your `items` Database Table.

So let's say the last item that isn't custom has an Entry of 45000. To make it Enchantable it would have to be < 45000

Well since my server will be pvp only and everything allowed to be used or wanted to be use will be in the mall I can delete every other item if I need room, if I'm not mistaken this will make the server less laggy too?

Changed my custom Mage S5 set (2.4.3 server remember) to 26-30 Entry ids (5 piece set) and tried enchanting them using them ID's. Didn't work, and... didn't fix icon bug. Which I KNOW can be fixed without a addon because the pre-made enchant items by gastric have working icons, but if I just change the spell id and item name on it, the icon changes to ?.

On Terms of Service i can enchant the custom weapons.

Wow.. advertise much? Hehe. anyway.. yes you can enchant weapons but not anything else.. like bracers, chest pieces etc. This goes for item enchants like spellthread for the leg armor and not just only enchants. Any help anyone? I think Gastric would know the answer to this, just wish he'd read this already.

You can enchant Custom armor as long as you dont do it LOL You can enchant someone elses custom items Np at all.

Download a addon called WGID for the custom icons. it works flawlessly and has almost no memory used.
