Some advice :)

Hey guys!

I am trying to get a private server up and running, and it has worked with Johved's repack. However, after doing some research, I just recently found out there are tons of more repacks, and even more databases floating around, and well, quite frankly, I'm getting completely lost =3

So, I hope you guys could help me a bit, since I have no idea where to start my search, I'll just list what I want with the server;

Basically, I want to play through the whole game again with a few close friends. But not in an MMO way, but more of a Diablo online way So, I don't need a site for the server or a web-based character creator, or anything like that, since it'll just be like 5 people playing

What I want to do is, really start from level 1, go through ALL the content (we love them instances =3), top out at 60, do MC once (supply full tier 1 at the end of it), then BWL, ZG, AQ20/40, etc. Then unlock TBC accounts, go through all that content, then level 80 and hopefully have Naxx working there. I would of course have to alter the 40+ content to be 5 mannable but I reckon that's just a long course of trial and error (dividing mob HP by 8 should fix some basic stuff though).

The main problem with the Johved repack was that none of the pre-WOTLK bosses were scripted, and I'm having a damned hard time finding out where and how to get those scripts, and even more-so on how to get them installed! So, hence this thread.

Is there a repack or database or tutorial out there that may be able to give me what I've described here? Or is there really no known working version of the old raids + new content to be found; and should I just give up on this?

add these files to your "scripts" folder there are many bosses scripted in there:

p.s. these are for arcemu and if you wanted to import your own db and compile your own core? use hearthstone as your core and rival db as your database. but those are only my suggestions.

Thanks for the quick reply The scripts look awesome in its quantity But like I said, I have Johved's repack installed now which came with some scripts. Not as many as in the linked .rar, but some seem to overlap Do I delete those scripts and just paste all the scripts you linked me in there? And do I have to execute them then, or is it done with that? I'm sorry that I have so little experience with this

Also, Johved's repack does run on Arcemu, but is there any specific advantage of importing my own DB and compiling my own core? Like, is there a more complete script/database that I could get for what I want by doing so?

the only advantage to compiling your own core and installing your own Db is to update the server if there are any bugs or error. Also the database developers update creature info like hp and mana stuff a lot. but if you are happy with how yours is set up I would not bother compiling your own core or messing with a fresh install of the db.

and in response to the scripts just delete all of the duplicate scripts in your scripts folder and copy the ones I shared with you in there!
then your all set.

Currently I can't test it out though, since the repack I use (haven't done enough research to compile my own stuff, etc.) uses the newest NCDB, which seems to have alot of issues (like swapped stats on items, 1-1 damage on all characters and the inability to enter instances). So I'll just do some more research on really starting up a server without a repack or hope that before I manage that Johved's repack is updated

Johved's repack hasn't updated yet, and I haven't had much time to do more research (damn university!) So I was hoping to maybe get a nudge in the right direction. For what I've described what I wanna do with my server above, what would be a good core and DB to start with?
