Ok, so basicaly i thought i'd make an emulator for a project ive been working on lately called tfe (our old host caved in). I downloaded MySQL and Kaezains repack... My problem is running the server through mysql. well... starting it to be more precise. I made sure i did everything properly by following this guide : http://www.mmowned.com/forums/emulat...r-v3-08-a.html .

Only, when i select 'Execute' towards the end of the 'MySQL Server Instance Configurartion Wizard', i get an error when it comes to checking the last box, 'Apply Security Settings'. Below is a screenshot of the exact message which makes up the 'Error Pop-Up':

i've un-installed and re-installed several dozen times. checked and re-checked several hundred times (lrn2noteexaguration).

I need this server to work ^^ if ANYONE has ANY solution to this problem, then they will get my thanksand a nice +rep.

Try uninstalling the Instance and go from the beginning again.. That's what i did

i've un-installed and re-installed several dozen times.

I don't know how exactly YOU uninstalled yours. All i know is that people tend to use the 'uninstall' button.
