column count problem

i am getting this problem. i have been reading the forums here and there to find out if some one else has as well. yep i found a few but it seems to be over my head as to where to find the updated stuff. its just when i try create a character. i keep getting a column count doesnt match value count at row 1.

being so new sucks but im hopeing to learn more.

long list of stuff i have no idea what this stuff is.

but anyway if some one could explain what it is i need to do id be forever thankfull.

So ya go into your database editor (HeidiSQL, SQLyog, Navicat w/e) and go into the query section and type truncate table `playercreateinfo` and run the query. Then in the query box add that long list of stuff and run that query then. The problem should be solved

oh crap your kidding all that stuff eh? wow thats alot of stuff. i was looking at the file in navicat and heidi it seems there the same thing as the one the other guy wrote out. but there is an extra column in the one that came with the repack. so if im not mistaken i could just delete that and call it good? or do i have to make a new one alltogether? by the way im useing acemu if that helps. thanks and i hope im right and dont have to type it all out.

No. Way to complicated for a newbie (no offence intended OP.)

Basically you are getting this error because your character database is out of date or you dont have the sql updates applied.

All you need to do is execute a new character database into your database and your problem will be fixed. Always remember to apply sql updates too.

While your at it, make sure your core is upto date too.

ok thats eayser but still im confused. wth is the core. and how do i update it. sorry for being such a noobie but this is totaly above me atm. i am picking things up as i go and im reading and getting closer to understanding. i have never acctualy messed with mysql or any other server/database program. so this is acctualy both fun and irritateing at the same time.

and belive me im really appreciateing all the help. thank you.

The core is the 'engine', which in your case is ArcEmu.
This is a direct link to the latest ArcEmu which includes character databases http://www.keazain.com/files/ArcEmu_rev.2003.rar

Just execute the database, edit your configs and you're good to go.

ok here is my problem with the updated virsion i cannot get any of the things to start in the auto up i get an error. i used navicat to fix what i could but to no avail. im shooting in the dark here. but the error im getting in game is i log in make my char and get booted. i was reading something about this but im 100% sure that i have not set up my navicat stuff properly. if you would be as kind as to help me some more id love to get this done tonight. i have teamview so if you have that you could take alook at my files and fix my problem or just show me how. either way i would appreciate it. thank you.

it just says it cannot find the exe for any of the 3 options for server world or logon after i hit start. i can get it useing the original emulation starter. but i get an error with the new one. useing the old one i get booted from the char creation page when i finish and get ready to go in to the char select screen. i have no idea where to start with the pic you need. the server logs dont even show up.

like i said i think its that i dont have everything set up in navicat.

You dont really 'need' the emu starter, you can just open the logonserver and then the world executables.

And if you are being kicked after you create a character, its a character database issue. Make sure you have applied all the sql updates.

thats the problem im not sure what to use alot of the stuff i put on gives me an unsuccessfull run. again if you would like to i have teamview you could go threw and show me where my mistakes are in real time and see exactly how its erroring it would be faster and more helpful. i would not mind at all if you could help me that way and show me where im going wrong cause then i could help others with it. anyway your choice. i have also tried to use the exe for log on and world and they do work but world is giveing me a problem with X5_blizz as well. its saying unknown database and points to X5_Blizz

Oh thats because you dont have your configs setup right. Look for a guide in the guides section on how to setup arcemu. I'm sure that would help you.

I'll upload a working character database for you and then edit my post.
