[request] Developers for pre TBC server

hi all


Because of the <lack> of true Blizzlike preTBC servers, we have started a new project

Basically we strive to create an as Blizzlike as possible environment
this means no instant levelling, custom or bonus items or what soever. There are enough funservers out there


Ours server runs on the newest Mangos core, with UDB

However, even tweeked to set the level cap to 60, and deletion of TBC content there is much more to be done to reach the pre-tbc state


what we ask:

For this we seek motivated developers who are interested in developing on this project, with a pro-active attitude

experienced with mangos, UDB, msql and c++


what we offer:

A dedicated team, who take their project very serious.
Working on a unique project



when we will have more players we will move to a dedicated host for our gameserver

Problem is, having pre-bc talents and spells is impossible without either using the pre-bc client or issuing custom patches

You can already login to our server with pre tbc client
and yes, spells/talents are an issue, but there are possibilities

and again, we strive to make a pre-tbc environment as close *as possible*

As the real thing doesnt exist anymore, neither will Blzz ever make again
neither are there private servers out there that want to create a blizzlike environment
without instant leveling or donor nonsense

We now have a great developer working on our core
what we yet seek is a database specialist

so who dares

The reason why we chose Mangos is that it still provides the best Blizzlike core, databases and therefore gameplay

and as thats our main aim the choice was simple

I would actually like to help at this developement, I could help alot in-game and creation, atleast with Game content. Im not a C++ dev. But i can help with MySQL. PM me if you need any more info from me.

I honestly do not know wat is more to be laughed at, our project, or your immature response

for a week old server 15 regulars is a promising score

not to mention the stream of reactions that finaly there is a server who has the GUTS to go against the mainstream and provide what many people have been missing for a long time

and about your question, some people actually work for a living, do you know what that word means? Or do you only have a degree in fl@ming
In any way money isnt a problem at all.

In addition
People are free to donate, but we will never provide Items levels or anything in that kind in return for it.

Interesting indeed. I have been running a blizzlike Pre-TBC server myself for about a year and I loved working with it. Though, I was using ascent/arcemu. I wish I had more experience with Mangos so I could join you, because Pre-TBC is where my passion lies. Though, it's never too late to learn

Hell im no developer or anything but this sounds like a killer idea

i have been looking for a decent Pre-BC server because Pre-BC kicked ass and this sounds like a very promising idea. So ill jump on the server whenever i can and just say hi and maybe play for a while. Good luck to all those involved with the server staff side of things and i cant wait too see what you can offer us players

If you are on mangos I suggest you to move to Trinity Core, we have done it some time ago and we are hell happy Good luck with the server.
