how to add to server?

i just started learning about private servers a few days ago so im still new to all this. How could i take things from like other repacks and add them to the one im using?

If you want the database only change the name or location of the database in your config files. If you are wanting to change the core then copy then move your programs to your server.
(Ascent world, Arcemu world, Logonserver etc.) Remember if you have a arc emu database it will not work with ascent/aspire/mangos. The database has to be the same as the core you are using. Hope this helped.

what is the most noob friendly to use? right now i am using ascent.

Just start of repacks like AC-Web or some other one and just learn from that.
The easiest core imo is Ascent and use NCDB as the Database (requires a web install) and also Sun++ do good LUA/C++ scripts for servers.
