Possible invalid format in file DBC/Spell.dbc (8616)

Arggh.... I've spent two days trying to fix this every way possible, so now I'll ask you since you're all way better than me =P

I keep getting "Possible invalid format in file DBC/Spell.dbc (us: 231, them: 216)" (among others) from my self-compiled release ascent-world application. Config files say that the build is 8606-8616 (latest download from http://mmoforge.org/svn/ascent/), and the DBC files have been gathered every way possible (I've extracted by myself, download from repacks, etc). My WoW build is 8606, and I'm beyond distraught with this

Solutions, or similar problems, anyone? +Rep for working solutions

Your DBC files dont match the version of the emulator you have IE.. your getting NEWER dbcs than your emulator expects..

can someone tell me which version i should be pulling from, or can someone who has this same core compiled send me their dbc files? im doing C++ coding in this (i've made some commands, and i wanna release them here), but i can't test it without the dbc =(
