Profession Problem as well as a few others.

I'm having a few problems with professions. I've added a custom npc for enchanting materials and when i purchase the material it does not register the material in the enchanting dialog window. My next problem is actually leveling the profession, I can not seem to get it pass lvl 1 and I have no fricking clue what's causing the problem or how to fix it. My skillchance and skillrate is set at 1. If you can help me out with this bug I'd +rep anyone if I can.

Sounds like a core bug, try to update it and try again.

yeah thats what i been saying on this other forum and they tell me my custom npc's f'ed it up. As far as updating goes I have no clue what i'm doing and dont know if I want to risk it, afraid of screwing stuff up like my reg and forum page. But I'm going to see what options i have atm

Well if it was just your NPC it wouldnt affect the skill chance youd recieve from creating the items.. You might want to try downloading another compile of the same revision and copying your database or just download from the SVN and compile your own.. If your afraid of losing content and such just download and compile your own from the same revision.
