how do i play sounds in chat channels?

i would like to know how i can play sounds using the script command in a chat channel, or is it done through the conosle for the whole server to hear?

If you have access to it, the .playall command broadcasts a sound to all players.
Otherwise, there's a /script command that plays a sound locally, not to nearby players
