When I run ad.exe, I immediately see 'Could not detect locale', and then the next line is the command prompt again, as nothing happened. Could you go over what to do with ad.exe in more detail? I did not understand that part of the guide.

Stop bumping this thread! It's outdated, hard to understand? If you follow this guide you will get an OUTDATED version of MaNGOS!

The guide clearly says it's outdated. If you follow it you will get a VERY outdated version of MaNGOS. Check mangos website for up-to-date guides: MaNGOS: the open source MMORPG server - Powered by vBulletin

hey i'm having a problem here: Now go to Tools > Options (once you opened the project). In the dialog that pops up click the plus sign next to Projects and Solutions and then click VC++ Directories. The drop down menu should say Executable Files. Click the button that looks like a folder and type

this code will not work, it just says that the directory does not exist, nor can i find it myself XD
