Ascent 2.3.3+ Server Setup With Pics

i open my acentlogon.exe, it says hooking signals, which all is good. i go to open my ascent.exe and it gives me this error then exits

sql: Select of database spdb failed due to `unknown database 'spdb'`
sql: Main database initialization failed. exiting.

please help?

Yea anyway,I get :"The application has failed to start because MSVC71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem " .This happens if I start ascent,logonserver or realmserver(the exe files not txt)

You have 2 options for this:
1.-rename your database as SPDB
2.-configure your ascent and logon.conf so it actually connects to your database name..

try downloading it again or... download the DLL files i posted in the same thread...

Nevermind,fixed.Now I got a different problem,I can't load the exe files.

when you say database that is what exactly? and if i were to go about configuring my ascent and logon confs. to open it what would i change?

this part:

thanks but when i do that i dont get the hooking whatever from the ascentlogon one and it just exits after a few seconds

what do i need to do to get my server to be public? change the realm ip to my wan instead of lan

yeah i was just looking at that, the database name is ascentlogon. so i really dont know what the problem is. everything is the way you said and yet i still get the error of unknown database spdb

If yourdaabase (logon database) is named ascentlogon then you have to put that in your configfiles i mean where it says logon database :username password name "ascentlogon" etc etc etc.... it tells you that SPDB doesnt exist cuz your accounts characters etc tables are in a database named ascentlogon...
2 options:
1.- change the config so its pointed correctly your logon to ascentlogon database
2.- execute the character.sql that is inside the pack to SPDB database

does any of this seem wqrong?

umm yeah is it just me or does putting az in the gm spot not give you anything special? what do you put in to even give whoever what type of gm?
