How To Make a 2.3 Private Server

Ragh when I try to run ad.exe it stops and says that I have encountered a problem...

man bear pig try making a folder called maps then move it into wer u keep worldofarcraft move ad.exe in as well then run it. it shuld work now

Crud, did that and it does the same thing...Did i do anything wrong? went to my wow folder, then to the data folder. then I created a new folder called "Maps" then I opened up winzip and there were 3 folders listed; "...", "maps" and "ad.exe". I right clicked ad.exe and sent it to the Maps folder in my wow data folder. then I look in the data one and it just says ad. anyway I still try to run it and I get the "encountered a problem" thing.

ur WoW folder is probably in C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft
well 1st unzip ad.exe
next make a folder in WoW so it reads C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\maps
then put ad.exe in C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft
and double click ad.exe it will run might take about 30mins depending on ur comp

I know this might be a little offtopic, but my i followed this guide, and my server is working fine. I made a druid, but i cant get bearform... :S

I searched it up on thottbot and apparently i need to do a quest at lvl 10 (now im 70), but the quest giver doesent have the quest... Any ideas what i can do? plz help
