van you type the ip address in the internet bar where it says google and thats where u change the last 3 #
Ok, when you open up CMD and type Ipconfig and your Ipaddress should show, you go to your Internet Browser and type it in there, once there, change the last 3 #'s of it to 1
Ex:
Ip = 192.168.1.102
the IP that should be in the Internet browser
Ip = 192.168.1.1

Well open that LMhosts and tell me what you see.
If it looks like this -
Then you are good, just edit that one, and if that one doesnt work, just copy that file and Paste it and rename it to Hosts.# Copyright (c) 1993-2007 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
127.0.0.1 localhost
